Research Methods for Clinical Therapists: Applied Project Design and Analysis

A comprehensive introduction to research for allied health students and practitioners at all levels. It provides an overview of major research approaches with an emphasis on experimental methods and data analysis. The aim is to demystify research methods and statistical analysis in order that practitioners will find it easier to conduct their own research and be able to critically evaluate published material. The key concepts are highlighted and summarized within each chapter.

Activity "boxes" are included throughout the chapter to encourage the reader to apply what they are reading to their own clinical research and practice. These make reference to a variety of clinical situations which are relevant to all therapists. Answers and explanations for the activities are given in a separate appendix.
