This is the first volume of a two-part treatise dealing with the ecology of aquatic insects. Concentraing on insect biology and habitat, the text includes sections on systematics, evolution, evolutionary adaptation, habitat description defined in terms of still, moving and marine waters, environment in terms of temperature condition, water level and abiotic variables, and aquatic insect trophic requirements.
