These distinctive engravings are drawn from a hard-to-find 1818 volume, TableauEncyclopédique et Méthodique des Trois Règnes de la Nature, a modified version of the great illustrated encyclopedia by Diderot and d'Alembert. The CD includes a selection of images from the book, which features almost 500 black-and-white illustrations—crabs, lobsters, bees, beetles, spiders, bugs, and other creatures.
This book and CD-ROM set is part of the Dover Digital Design Source series. Collected from Dover's famous Pictorial Archive library, the images can be used in a variety of print and web projects. The CD-ROM contains 494 images saved in JPEG format.
