Description ▲
A customer said, "More than just 'Navy'. It fits the Navy into the times/stages of its history and provides the political and social circumstances of the times. As I write this I'm not quite up to WWI, but I've enjoyed every page so far -- and expect to enjoy the rest equally. Full of detail. Full of illustrations. (A glossary might be helpful for those of us not up to snuff on ships, their parts, etc. And more maps would help too -- but that's my peeve concerning almost all history books -- especially those involving battles; but this book is no worse than the best in that regard.)
