There are several important good things about this book. First, it is well written and one's interest is maintained throughout. Secondly, it is accurate both in detail and in spirit. And finally, it is very badly needed. The predictable failure of the eradication of malaria has left many people, including professionals, with an unwarranted feeling of hopelessness. This book shows how foolish that reaction is. This book will do more to renew the interest in overcoming this disease than all the medical schools and schools of public health in the country.
