Prealgebra

The basic concepts of algebra are introduced early in the book and then applied to new topics as they are encountered. Diagrams, charts, and graphs are emphasized to give students additional information, in visual form, to help them understand the material covered. Each chapter opens with a real-world application. Wherever possible, these introductions are expanded in the chapter and carried through to topics found later in the book.
