Mastering Mechanical Desktop(r): Parametric Design

Designed for users of AutoCAD 13, this brief companion book teaches students and professional users of Mechanical Desktop how to create and edit 3D solid models using MD's built-in parametric modelling tools. It explains how to perform design-driven parametric modelling of complex assemblies, in which manipulation of a dimension in one part instantly adjusts the dimensions of related parts interactively and visually on the computer screen. MD's parametric modelling tools can automatically generate from a 3D model a complete set of 2D, multiple-view drawings - automating the process of creating technical 2D views for presentations; in addition, changes or edits made to the 2D views instantly modify the 3D model.
