Activities Manual for Beginning and Intermediate Algebra

This collection of activities facilitates discovery learning, collaborative learning, graphing technology, connections with other areas of mathematics and other disciplines, oral and written communication, real data collection, and active learning. Designed as a stand-alone supplement for any beginning or intermediate algebra text, it incorporates the recommendations from NCTM in "Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics" and from AMATYC in "Crossroads in Mathematics - Standards for Introductory College Mathematics Before Calculus." Providing maximum flexibility, the activities can be used during class or in a laboratory setting to introduce, teach, or reinforce a topic.
