The Cortras brothers accidentally kill the nephew of Judah Bathierre, a crime lord in the city of Gomorrah. The brothers believe they will slip Bathierre in the walled city, Capital. In their flight, the Cortras brothers encounter a man that wanders the desert alone. The stranger joins the Cortras brothers. He does not tell them about the voice following him.
