Journey of Islam

Journey of Islam traces the Arab and Judeo-Christian roots of Islam as well as the various dimensions of the religion such as Islamic theology, Islamic mysticism and Islamic law that evolved from its original texts including the Quran (holy book), the Sunna (traditions) and the Sira (biography of Muhammad).The survey explores the evolution of the faith from the seventh century to the present so as to understand current manifestations of the faith whether in terms of revival movements or in terms of violent confrontations and terrorism directed particularly at the West and Western interests. It also explores possible scenarios for the future of Islam and Muslims within the current world order.
