Steven and Stella are an English couple in Laguna—debauched, illegal, and on the run. She works in a gallery and he has affairs. When she thinks she has a stalker, he congratulates her on having "this year's must-have accessory." The cop they call in thinks he's dealing with a couple of English wackos, can't help but find her attractive. Cue a spiral of violence, paranoia, and death under the California sun.
