Description

Before Christ, God required sacrifices to be made at the temple in order for men to attain forgiveness of their sins. In order to make this law / process successful, God commanded the Levites to staff the temples. The Levites were the only tribe of Israel who did not have an inheritance of land to farm. In consideration for Levites duty at the temple, the other tribes of Israel were commanded to pay TITHES at the temple TO SUPPORT THE LEVITES. When Christ died on the cross, the law / process of offering sacrifices became obsolete. This meant that the Levites were no longer required to serve in the temples. It also meant that the other tribes of Israel no longer OWED tithes to the Levites. The single purpose of this book is to show Christians that they do not OWE anything. Please don't miss another service because you feel guilty about not giving 10% of your income - you don't OWE it. Please don't be embarrassed about your financial situation or inability to give a lot. If you've been blessed / become blessed in such a way that you can afford to give 10%, 20%, or more, that is wonderful. If not, just know that cheerfully giving what you can is enough.
