Petak's Bend: A Paradise Found and Lost

Thirty-six year old Theodore Burke fortuitously discovers an idyllic community of six families living in a paradise they had cleared out of a remote, deep forest. He builds a house there and shares their arcadian lives until the serpent appears, forcing him and his young wife from their Eden.
