Zoonosis (zo-on'sis) n. [NLat.: ZOO + Gk nosos, disease.] A disease such as rabies, malaria, or anthrax that can be transmitted from animals to humans. Houston City Veterinarian, Dr. Duncan MacDonell, jumps from the frying pan of city government into the fire storm of a national political crisis. And once again his life is put in jeopardy as he tries to unravel a crude scheme which appears designed to derail the presidential election process.
