Tradin' Shoes

This novel, primarily set in the 1960s, is seen through the eyes of a white youth growing up in a black society. The story is not as much about hatred as it is about brotherly love, about a positive encounter in the lives of many. The sixties were indeed volatile times, but presented lessons to be learned, lessons to be passed along to future generations. Millions of people are still fascinated by the 1960s, and the history that unfolded dramatically-assassinations, the Vietnam conflict, Civil Rights, the media, the music-yet a time in the 20th century when life seemed much simpler and tangible.
