Flint's Honor

When editor Sam Flint arrives in Silver City, intending to set up a weekly newspaper, he finds the crowded town is dominated by a cynical and ruthless rival newspaper editor, who's in cahoots with a mining magnate who likes to control everyone and everything in sight.

But Flint is a tough customer, and manages to put out some issues of his newspaper that affront those in power. Next he knows, his press and equipment are wrecked, and he's in an all-out struggle to expose the crooked cabal that runs Silver City. This is a story of the rough-and-tumble newspapers of the frontier, and the editors who kept a revolver handy in their desk drawers.

Flint can't find suitable quarters and finally sets up shop in the restricted area, and his rivals promptly call his paper the Bawdyhouse Bugle. But Flint gathers around him some remarkable talent, and soon they're giving the town autocrats a good fight. There's humor here, as well as drama.
