Description

I was a stunt woman / actress when I had a life altering injury, burns and brain damage. This memoir covers my crazee recovery. Much of gimp is from journals. I had a foot of medical paperwork, it was helpful cognitive rehabilitation to write 'lattisimus dorsi and hetrotopic ossification' but would have been watching paint to read. This isn't raw diary writing; it's been soothed and refined for viewing pleasure. Big Fat Babies were tossed but gimp isn't an autobiography, (which should be written at ninety or thinly veiled as fiction) it's for other Survivors.Even with 1500 pages, there were event's I didn't refer to as they were happening; either too painful or too complicated. Brain damage is a different plane of existence, a vortex that swirls much of this one away. I've filled gaps five years post trauma but I tried to leave what I was feeling as it was happening. Words still alter and reposition mysteriously. (Was it a snail that broke a camel back? No, straw.) I left some in to amuse but most had to be fixed to make sense. Good advice from my mentor was, don't have too many names, your audience doesn't care it just distracts. Story Characters, most of you are Friends and some of the names have been changed to protect the idiots.
