Land's Sake (Volume 1)

Lifelong friends Margaret Moon and Marybelle Pratt stumble across a mutilated body on the Triple D ranch in New Mexico. Not knowing how to proceed, Margaret calls on a former student, now an FBI agent, for help. Quite unexpectedly they become involved in helping to find a murderer. Little do the two ladies realize that their interest in the case will lead to questionable land deals involving a dishonest developer, gambling activities, threats, vandalism, and ultimately the discovery of a boy's cruel revenge. Gaining support from an increasingly large circle of friends and meeting a slew of unsavory characters, Margaret and Marybelle finally lure the killer out into the open and fall into danger themselves.
