Athénaïs Michelet was the second wife of celebrated writer and French Historian Jules Michelet. Long considered his gifted researcher, scholars later discovered that Athénaïs was a talented writer who may have written large portions of her husband's later works. Alongside her husband, Athénaïs climbed treacherous mountains, traversed hot deserts, trekked into hostile forests and explored the world far beyond her home country of France.
