A Passing Resemblance

Marina’s mind is a luxurious fantasy world populated with famous, attractive men that she has no desire to actually meet in person. There are no complications that way, and absolutely no disappointments. What would she have to say to one of them, anyway? It’s a great life. But even Marina admits that sometimes a person can lose sight of reality, go a little crazy, lose control – “When you start to feel that desire - when you start to formulate concrete, doable plans to actually in-person meet the obsession, warning bells should go off. This is a dangerous desire. Trust me. I would say that it’s something to be exorcised immediately when it occurs - but once it occurs, you don’t want to exorcise it. All you want to do is to meet him. And sometimes the lengths that you will go to, well . . . they can be lengthy, indeed.”
