Out of Love

When the son she was forced to relinquish 18 years ago sends her a cryptic letter and then disappears, Janine, an artist and the widowed mother of 6-year-old twins, plunges into a search for the missing boy. Reluctantly, she enlists the help of Dan, the high school boyfriend who has never forgotten her. Their detective work re-opens old wounds and uncovers tightly held secrets in both their families, in the adoptive family, and in their own hearts. Set in 1984, OUT OF LOVE explores the murky experiences of pregnant teens in the 1960‘s, and delves into the difficult journeys of adoptees and birth parents looking for one another before the Internet age. It exposes the double-edged sword of second chances, and the conflicts and heartaches that arise when different people facing the same problem all act out of love.
