Alexa North is strong and independent; a former Army Officer that met her husband and his best friend fresh out of the Army Officer Training Course. She is a trained soldier, former collegiate athlete and accomplished Martial Artist. She is the epitome of reliable soldier, accomplished, dependable partner and professional. Alexa North like every other human being also has vulnerabilities and trying times in her seemingly perfect life. She too needs someone to be her champion when tragedy, rape and violence tarnish the world for her and her fifteen year old daughter Tharen. Alexa will have to face the harsh reality of what her life really is as opposed to what she thought it was as her husband changes before her eyes and her culture makes demands on her in the midst of the most terrifying and lonely nightmare a wife and mother can experience. Through many trials that drastically alter her life; Alexa learns that sometimes we are our strongest when we let ourselves stop being the hero and let someone else redefine love and acceptance. It is natural to be only as strong as you have ever needed to be… Much more difficult to become stronger than you ever knew you could be… That is what love can do.
