Plain Tales from Robben Island

This title reminds us that history is also made by ordinary people. It is comprised of a collection of memoirs of six political prisoners from the Eastern Cape who were incarcerated in the general cells on Robben Island for various periods from 1964. The author has produced a reconstruction of everyday life on the Island.
