A Bunch of Old Letters: Being Mostly Written to Jawaharlal Nehru and Some Written by Him

Selected and Edited by Jawaharlal Nehru. These letters were written mostly to Nehru by leading personalities between 1917 and 1948; a few were written by him. They vividly capture the spirit of an India riven by terrible strife, but at the same time compelled by an inspiring new nationalism. Of special interest is a fascimile of Mahatma Gandhi's letter to Nehru before his death.
