The Hidden Line

Early 21st century. Three women determined to be mothers turn to techniques of assisted reproduction. Eva, a biologist, becomes an egg donor and violates the norms which place a limit on the number of donations it is possible for any one woman to make. Ursula, an executive at Cable&Comms, has always planned to be a mother but at thirty-eight she discovers that she is sterile and opts to use embryos obtained from the egg of an unknown female donor and the sperm of her husband Emilio. Victoria Villagrán, a rich heiress and a winning rider in the Grand National, wants to have a daughter on her own – why tie herself to a man? She becomes the first woman to adopt a spare embryo.
