Theses accepted for higer degrees by universities tend to be buried prematurely in libraries unless some form of bibliographical coverage is adopted by a means of a list, index or bibliography. This book is a list of theses accepted for higher degrees by British, Irish, American, German and Austrian universities which in some way or other dealt with Wales or were written in the Welsh language. The list covers a period of over 100 years. the entries are listed alphabetically by author under broad subjects arranged according th the Library of Congress classification scheme, and author and subject indexes are provided. References in the indexes are to the entry number.
