Student Edition of Imdad Software for Stryer's Biochemistry

This is a student version of Macimdad macromodeler software customized to work specifically with the fourth edition of Lubert Stryer's "Biochemistry". It features 3-D models and instructional animations of 35 figures selected from Stryer's text. By rotating, animating and observing these images, students should be able to experience the three-dimensionality of proteins and nucleic acids. Images can be rotated 360 degrees in all directions, and animated in real-time, stop action or slow motion. Molecules can be viewed in different drawing styles - bond, C-alpha, space-filling, curvy chain and ribbon chain models. Important features can be colour-highlighted and viewers can adjust the scale of the images and zoom in to specific sights on the molecule. The software is accompanied by a user's manual which contains easy-to-follow instructions as well as printed versions of the images and their legends from the textbook.
