Medical Problems in Dentistry

This book discusses in detail systemic diseases that can complicate dental care or treatment. There are three basic problems regarding the dental treatment of patients with significant systemic disease: detecting such patients; determining what implications the disease or its treatment have for dental management; and deciding how best to deal with the problem. The book covers the background information about systemic diseases and their management, the relevance of these diseases and their treatment for dentistry and suggestions as to how these problems should be dealt with.
