This book has been published as part of the major international conference on the current issues and recent developments in reservoir safety and the environmental effects of reservoir development and operation. As the average age of the worldwide stock of dams increases, more emphasis is being placed by the engineering profession on the requirements for safety monitoring, assessment and remedial works to existing structures.
