Mary Delany Paper Florals Keepsake Box

Galison's lovely Mary Delany Paper Florals cards reproduce 18th century cut-paper collages preserved in the British Museum. The bright flowers against a black background are refined and are appropriate for any kind of note. Mary Delany was 72 years old when she was inspired to begin creating her more than 1000 botanical collages. For each one, she cut and layered hundreds of tiny pieces of paper for her "paper mosaicks," which were admired by both artists and botanists.
