The colloquium "Mössbauer Spectroscopy in Materials Science 2008" was devoted to the application of the Mössbauer effect in various areas as material testing, study of nanoscale systems, metallurgy, mineralogy, chemistry and biology. New developments of spectroscopy experimental technique were presented.
