The need for production efficiency and quality in industry, requires using the very best approaches to model and simulate the forming processes. It is expected that this will contribute to optimizing these forming processes, avoiding empiricisms and reducing costs and delays compared to a purely experimental approach. The AMPT conference covers all forming processes including sheet forming, bulk forming, powder forming, forming in melt or near-melt conditions, material removal processes and non-traditional processes such as abrasive jet, laser, or ultrasonic abrasion. All materials will be considered including metals, ceramics, polymers, fibre reinforced materials, composites.
