By the 23rd century, humans are extinct, but their self-aware robots carry on, building a vast civilization from the solar system to other stars. Designed as an empathetic sex-slave, human-sized Freya Nakamichi is a free woman, but that doesn't stop her smaller, higher-ranking cousins - the sociopathic Dominas and their chibiform lackeys - from bullying her mercilessly. Now, a near-fatal run-in with a vengeful chibi has made Freya eager to escape Venus. Luckily, a mysterious stranger makes a timely offer.
