My Love and I

Adam McLaurin enlists in World War I. In combat, he promises a mortally wounded classmate that after the war he will help their old school. Returning home, he enters Vanderbilt University and becomes a teacher. Adam marries Carrie Napier, his childhood sweetheart, who is now a widow, and they live at Windsor Academy. The family enjoys life until Andy, their eldest son, joins the army prior to Pearl Harbor. Life stands still for the McLaurins when Andy is reported missing. After the war, Andy returns from a POW camp. Retirement finds Adam and Carrie surrounded by a lifetime of memories.
