Valerie's Eyes

Valerie s Eyes involves the struggles of a 23-year-old divorced mother of 3, who became blind as the results of a gunshot wound to her head. Her ex-lover is falsely accused while her assailant remains a fugitive. Born to parents, who combine the religious teachings of Catholicism with the practices of Santeria, Valerie s religious beliefs are invariably tested. She copes with fear and failing relationships, but Valerie is unprepared for the betrayal that she receives from family. With each effort to overcome life s difficulties, Valerie s hopes and dreams vanish. Through the eyes of a trusted friend, Valerie learns to see again.
