The successor to the well-known and widely used "UR8" design guide, Dynamics of marine structures (2nd edition, 1978). The earlier guide was written as much for designers of inshore jetties as for the offshore engineer. This totally rewritten edition is biased much more toward offshore engineering and now describes the computer analysis techniques that are generally used for offshore structures. It also provides additional chapters on foundations, wind turbulence, offshore installation, earthquakes, and strength and fatigue.
