Bromsgrove's Victorian Photographic Treasury: The Hughes Collection (Images of England)

Photographer Joseph Hughes opened a studio in Bromsgrove in June 1897 and over the next ten years he built up a catalog of at least 2,000 glass negatives. The Hughes Collection was unseen for 100 years but now has been made available to the general public through various funding bodies. Included in this book are images of street scenes, groups, events, and portraits.
