Metal Gear Solid: Prima's Official Strategy Guide

Metal Gear Solid, the PlayStation sequel to a video game classic, is one of the year's best and most anticipated releases. The game's spectacular cinematic style and exceptional gameplay combine to provide players with a truly memorable gaming experience. Though Prima's guide to the game lacks an "official" endorsement, it is certainly not lacking in any other department. Beginning with a rundown of the game's basic controls, the book covers every one of the items and weapons at your disposal. You'll also learn a little about each of the other characters--good and bad--in the game. The mission walkthroughs are excellent and easy to follow, with lots of screen shots to illustrate key areas and actions. Objectives are clearly called out so that you always know what your goal is, and various gameplay tips are sprinkled liberally throughout the book.
