This book is the only record of federally-funded art projects in Virginia during the Great Depression. It provides an historical overview of each city or town that is home to the artwork, information on federal structures housing the artwork, a photograph and description of the artwork itself, and a biographical sketch of the artist. More than 180 photographs are featured.
