Large cities, including mega cities with more than 10 million people, present key challenges relating to sustainable development and citizenship. Each title in this new geography series reveals reasons for the city's location and the structure of the population, and explores environmental issues such as transport, waste, pollution and wildlife, city economy, culture, leisure and tourism and look to the future.
