Description

This second volume in the series Educational Innovation in Economicsand Business is dedicated to the theme of quality in business and economics education. The first volume focused on problem-based learning. This one shares a strong emphasis on innovative educational technology that puts the student in an active position and so makes the switch from teaching to learning. Alongside problem-based learning, examples of such student-centred modes of education discussed in several contributions to this volume are: experiential learning, resource-based learning, research learning and computer-based learning.
The question of quality arises in any curriculum, whether student-centred or teacher-centred. So another group of papers discusses the general issue of quality audit, quality assessment and quality improvement in higher education. Special attention is paid to the role student assessment and student feedback play in achieving and maintaining a high level of quality.
This volume addresses itself to teachers in higher and further education, trainers at corporate education centres, and educational psychologists as well as university or faculty administrators involved in curriculum design.
