Theologically, he defends the position of pluralism and investigates the implications of this for soteriology, christology and ethics. He holds a Licentiate degree in Philosophy and the M.A. in Religious Studies from the Catholic University of Leuven. His Ph. D. in Theology is from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago.
