Description

Charles B. Lawrence, Ph.D. is considered by his peers to be a unique man. His career started as a helper on the family farm, which led him to a factory in Nashville, Tennessee. There he worked as a shoemaker to obtain his college degree. Since completing college, his career has included employment as a cobbler, photographer, high school instructor, junior high school vice-principal, engineer, and college professor. The author also served in the military and worked in business in Los Angeles, California, where he earned his master’s and doctoral degrees.

Dr. Lawrence has lived not only in California and Tennessee, but also the state of Washington, and he has spent time in Enugu and Anambre State, West Africa. Through this vast education, employment, and travel, Dr. Lawrence has experienced working with many individuals in numerous places and in all walks of life. He has experienced life as a family man and suffered the loss of a brother killed in the early 1980s; a father killed in a farming accident in the late 1980s; and the deaths of his wife, another brother, and his son, all in the early 1990s. It is through these unfortunate accidents that he set out to publish Jus’ Family: Volume 1.

Dr. Lawrence’s writings are intended to create in all individuals a sense of family unity, a sense of self-worth, and a true sense of spiritual realization and gratification.
