Description

Cultural evangelicalism teaches that if we question the church’s beliefs, even if it means denying the reality around us, we are inherently evil, and we will be shunned by God and the church community.

Raised in an evangelical family, James R. Dolby, Ph.D. realized that evangelicalism is dysfunctional. It is based on the fear of a vengeful God, instead of embracing the good news of forgiveness and love. Dolby realized that being a Christian is being open to what God wants us to do or be and to try no hurting our fellow human beings.

One’s reason for being is to flow with God, the nature that surrounds us, and to accept life as it unfolds. God made each of us just the way we are because that’s what He wants. We know God created us to feel and think in a dialogue with God and His Son. Once we believe that God forgives and loves us unconditionally, we can truly be at peace with ourselves.
