Stigma

Paul Foster is a young man who fights to find his real parents in order to explain some of his odd behavior. His adoptive parents cannot understand why with all their love and middle-class environment he persists in living his life his way.

Paul becomes very successful in the computer business, which takes him to Rome, where he meets an excitingly bright woman who takes his breath away. She has marriage on her mind, but he has always felt he doesn't want to marry. Ultimately he realizes he does, but it is just a little too late. The story takes the reader to Rome, northern Italy, and Taormina.
