Plumbing (Home repair and improvement)

After seeing an earlier printing in the library I had to get a copy for myself. This book has lots of large, easy to understand, photos and drawings with color coded explanations of how things work and how to make repairs or do complete installations. Both theory and how-to-do are covered in easy to understand language, replete with pictures and color coded diagrams of typical systems of single and multiple story houses. It covers everything from household plumbing to installation of yard sprinkler systems. Also septic systems. My only complaint is that it has recently become a bit dated. Newer plastic water lines have been developed and come on the market that don't burst when they freeze. Installation and/or retrofit using these lines, though simple, aren't covered. One star deducted. Otherwise, this is the way a do-it-yourself plumbing book should be written and illustrated. It was definitely worth five stars when it first came out and is still a first rate book for the novice plumber. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
