Capitalism in Colonial Puerto Rico: Central San Vicente in the Late Nineteenth Century (University of Central Florida Contemporary Poetry)

A micro-level analysis of the first mill established in the late 19th-century Puerto Rico, this work locates the island's economic trajectory in the Caribbean context of sugar, and suggests a re-evaluation of Puerto Rico's industrialization under US auspices from a historical perspective.
