God's Incredible Mercy

Someone once described the world in which we live as one drunk with power, lacking in compassion, steeped in selfishness and driven by a consumer-oriented, materialistic mentality. As a result we often find ourselves doing that which we do not want to do and not doing that which we intend. We hurt one another and are wounded in the process. When our thoughts turn to things that really matter, we find ourselves in dire need of mercy. And that’s where God comes in. Our God is a gracious God, a God who is full of mercy and compassion towards those who approach Him and seek His forgiveness and His love. In his inimitable style Father Maloney helps us to rediscover, in our broken and fragmented lives, the incredible mercy of God. Perhaps more importantly, he shows us how we can share with others the mercy that we’ve found. About the Author:  Father George A. Maloney, SJ, was well-known in Roman Catholic and Russian Byzantine Rite circles for his many works on prayer and spirituality.
