Alternative Schooling for African American Youth: Does Anyone Know We're Here?

This book is about the experiences of a group of middle school students and the administration, faculty and staff responsible for meeting their educational needs. These students have been removed from the traditional public school environment and placed in an alternative school program in lieu of expulsion.
