This program begins by discussing the premonitory signs of labor and some of the theories regarding the causes of the onset of labor. It discusses in-depth the four stages of labor and the nursing interventions that facilitate the birth process in addition to monitoring the well being of both the mother and the fetus, and helping as much as possible to alleviate the woman's physical discomfort.
